Bioclimatic strategies for a next generation farm

This agricultural residence is in the western countryside of Sardinia.

The area is characterized mostly by flat land, used for both crops and pasture, interspersed by compact villages of small and medium size, and dotted with farmhouses.

The project concerns the owners’ residence and its rustic outbuildings, which are intended for agricultural productive activities. Considering the area specificity and the required functional arrangement, a courtyard-like architecture that recalls the traditional style of the region was chosen. The new plants comply with the current regulations, with an eye to energy saving.
